Closing of the Shueyville Art Gallery

It is with great sadness that I must announce the closing of the Shueyville Art Gallery.  With the recent passing of the gallery owner, Hal L. Hart, the future of the gallery was in question.  After much thought the family has decided to close the gallery and put the property up for sale.

The gallery will be open through June 23.  Between June 30 and July 22 hours will be by appointment only.

Solon High School "SpARTan" art exhibit-June 15th

The Shueyville Art Gallery will be hosting  the "SpARTan" 2011 summer art exhibit on June 15th from 5PM to 8PM.  On display will be work from approx. 30 Solon High School art students.  The students have worked all year long to bring you this great exhibit.  Some pieces will be available for purchase.  Show your support for the Solon art department and stop in!

Meet the Artist..John Chehak

Stop over at Cedar Ridge Vineyards (1441 Marak Rd., Swisher, IA) and meet Cedar Rapids artist John Chehak while enjoying a beautiful display of his works hanging in the vineyards gallery.  From 5pm to 8pm, Thursday June 9th, John will be on hand to give a brief talk and answer any of you questions about his paintings.
